Little Takeover Leather Wallet - Believe A Little Bit Longer
Description
Each wallet starts as a piece of natural veg tan leather.
A round knife shapes each pattern piece. Skiving knives, an edge beveller, a creaser, and sandpaper thin and smooth the edges. Holes are punched by hand with a hammer or manual press, then leather stitching chisels prep the holes for thread.
Each piece is hand-dyed in one to three layers, then sealed with a thin coat of Resolene for water resistance. Metal hardware is pressed in. Edges are burnished with Tokonole. To join pieces, I apply a thin layer of contact cement, clamp them in place, and hand-stitch using a saddle stitch.
